After the debut of Methodology at Brighton Resort in 2017, we wanted to give the Utah community additional resources to spread the knowledge of avalanche safety. With 2017’s donation of an avalanche training area facilitated by Brighton Resort, the stage was set to further educate the local riders. With the funds from the 2018 event, Methodology worked with the Utah Avalanche Center to offer nearly 150 free avalanche safety classes. These classes were not only 100% filled but were also heavily utilized by the participants of the Methodology event. Thanks to the support of the Utah Avalanche Center, these classes helped advance the Brighton community overall to be safer with their great snow.
